The Light Of Priesthood rights, which underlay the responsibility of
"PEACEMAKING," and the Light Of Priesthood knowledge, the basis of "all spirituality, laws and sacred duties" are vital IN BOTH CULTURES. The Creator's original gift and instructions to mankind, when first placed on earth, was for righteously SERVING AND HEALING all aspects of life with the Lord's holy, natural, heavenly, keys of power and authority.
In order to learn how to walk the full circle of life, fulfill the measure of being created and succeed in our purpose of being born, "the laws of heaven" were given to true wise men since the beginning of time to teach the world that all may have the opportunity of finding the fullness of personal justification, potential, care-taking of others, peace, joy, love and learn how to 'rise' and return back home again in honor and success over all evil. During the existence of earth's allotted time for us to learn to over-come and 'arise' to the spiritual level needed to return to our home above, those laws were lost through mankind's abuse many times and then restored through love and continual care of The Father of us all.We,as Latter-day Saints who are Cherokee blooded, accept the priesthood authority that has once more been revealed and re-established in it's fullness in The Church Of Jesus Christ in these latter days to be from heaven's true source. We also understand LDS parallels between the 'LATTER-DAY REVEALED TRUTH' and our ancient Cherokee 'ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS' which legends claim to have come from The Great Creator or The Great Spirit Of The Universe. His "Cherokee Sacred Fire Of Wisdom" was first given in it's fullness, to the "First Beloved Man and the First Beloved Woman" of this world. As many other Cherokee do, we accept this couple as are our heavenly brother and sister who first came to this earth before us from our Heavenly Parent's home. We also know them as Adam and Eve, our first honored "earthly parents" who we sustained while with our heavenly family. The powers and abilities of the Creator's Original Instructions given through the 'fire of wisdom' was given for the purpose to "Care Take and Heal" all earthly creations. This was done for humankind through the direction of the Great Holy Spirit that physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health could be enjoyed. With the natural assistance of the temporal and spiritual right to do so, and when using the universal keys of the Great Heavenly Powers of Light, we have survived miraculously for thousands of years. Without that power at certain times - we have barely made it through.
After the death of Adam and Eve and as time continued over the earth, massive man oriented changes entered into The Creator's original teachings and his priesthood authority. The true keys of the heavenly power became lost and was removed from the whole earth upon light of the heavenly truths being diminished. That time is called the Dark Ages of the World. This happened in the Kit'Yowa Spiritual realm of our 'Old Wise One's' also. It is evident that through time, The Three Elder Fires Above found a need to renew and return his endless true ways. That 'fire of truth and light' or the 'exalted wisdom of heavenly keys' was restored to the earth time after time. In these last days of worlds existence, they have been renewed for all mankind in it's extended priesthood fullness one last time, which is just before the Creator's millennial return and the earth's promised renewal.
We acknowledge The Creator, who is at times called The Great Spirit, somewhat differently from what many of our Cherokee full blood and mixed blood cousins do today. However, we're not completely alone in todays Cherokee world in accepting Jesus as the Great Creator. There are Cherokee blooded individuals whose families believe in much of the same truths as were originally given to the earth - who are not Latter-day Saints. These Peacekeeping families still believe much as our ancient "One Fire Keepers" did thousands of years ago. They still believe in the priesthood law, desire the true power and authority of the A'ni 'Ni'Yoho - the Gods of the "Star Family", and are searching for the way of the 'Old Wise Ones' and waiting to become a part of it's true blessings. Our earth's first families of the long ago time "walked as One" with those they called "The Three Elder Fires Above Of The Heavenly Priesthood," or as they were called of old, the "Chota'auh'nele'eh."

and as also "BELOVED HEAVENLY FATHER" of all mankind.
and we know not yet the name......Of a glorified woman,
who is a "QUEEN AND PRIESTESS OF HEAVEN,
FATHER'S PERFECTED PARTNER AND WIFE,
who is our "HEAVENLY BELOVED MOTHER.
2.....The Second One of the Godhead as a glorified man,
is "GOD, THE BELOVED SON,"
"A HIGH PRIEST OF HEAVEN,"
"THE CREATOR OF OUR UNIVERSE,"
and is "THE REDEEMER/SAVIOR OF ALL,"
as well as "OUR MASTER,"
and our "HEAVENLY BELOVED ELDER BROTHER."
4.....The Third One of the Godhead as a glorified man,
also is also a "HEAVENLY BELOVED BROTHER,"
who has yet to take an earthly body,
who is known as "THE HOLY GHOST"
and "THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE,"
and is also our "COMFORTER,"
who witnesses within each of us
of the reality of God and Truth.

They know all creation and are friends to all, who desire us to return home with them and who have unlimited power in governing the heavens and the earth with noble and loving keys of Kingship. Most Cherokee, as well as many other Native Americans, loosely use the term "Medicine Man" or "Shaman" to identify persons claiming to be "Native Healers" in general. There are in addition, High Priests or High Priestesses who have descended through our sacred Equa'haye (Abrahamic) family line authority as they should have....who earn the title. It is they who's progenitors were extensively trained by The Creator's personal directions and priesthood powers thousands of years ago. Cherokee today still call that priesthood 'power', the natural means of "Osda Nv' wati or Good Medicine" for helping an infirm individual overcome physical, mental, spiritual and emotional illnesses. However, throughout the world the Priesthood keys and authority, was lost and abused when when prophets and holy men were no longer ordained by the laying on of hands...... falsely and extensively!
In the beginning, with the Creator's Original Instructions personally given to His "Real Principal People," our Cherokee ancestors were " true" priesthood holders, prophets, seers, revelators and healers. In reality the Native term "Universal Good Medicine" replaces the ancient identification for the use of "The Heavenly Priesthood Power" of The Creator's, here on the earth. Not long after the Real Ones come to this continent, the embracing of Kingship took it's toll of peace from nearly all the "Peacekeepers." After unfathomable National loss and spiritual confusion, the Creator restored the Priesthood Keys in the meridian of time.
Yet when Europeans of the Dark Ages first saw 'true' Cherokee Priesthood holders, as well as 'false' Native healers using.... herbs, song, dance, prayer, "the spirit and healing powers within other natural sources" in order to heal someone, the outsiders determined that all "healers" were evil or unstable individuals. One reason was... because the Cherokee used so many 'things for spiritual purposes' which they could not understand, in addition to prayer as healing medicines. The result was the Priesthood holders were degradedly called 'evil medicine' men. It was White men's terminology and suspicion that caused the term of "Medicine Man" to stick . Most had not the understanding of the uses of a Native Healers herbs nor their correct healing abilities or rights. The early Whites of the last few centuries assumed all healers were using evil "witchcraft" for their healing "attempts." Ironically, herbalist and witchcraft was something all Whites emerging upon Cherokee society were already familiar with. It was the ceremony, and the faith Cherokee had that they were not use to. It had also been in all ancient European White cultures since the beginning of time, although the Creator's priesthood power had not been available to them. Also, witch-craft and priest-craft was not unfamiliar. Unfortunately as it was within the White culture, there were in addition to the ancient true use of the Cherokee priesthood, many "illegitimate" Cherokee healing attempts going on all at the same time... for money or some other kind of self aggrandizement, the revealing telling acts which has ironically always left the truth of the imposters to be known to those of true spirit.
Those who were still legitimate Cherokee One Fire Keepers of True Wisdom, recognized the illegitimate priesthood people as, "spirits of the dark side." These "black witches" as they were called, (the shee'leh,) were casting evil spells upon their own people... as well as emerging Anglos. The RESULTS overall with both illegitimate healers and evil witches of the dark side, caused even good white people to believe "all" healers to be continually looked down upon. Sadly, by not being able to win European hearts in understanding their original true priesthood rights, both legitimate and illegitimate "Cherokee Doctors" were all considered to be evil witches, conjurers, magicians and sorcerers. The saddest part of this story is that most often even very good people of the Cherokee world lost their faith, ability, their true knowledge and the gentle power of heaven our 'Old Wise One's' had. One reason could have been because the title of "King" began once more to mean more to them than it should have, However, there were a great amount of reasons for the turn-away. never-the-less,
'broad trails' throughout the Cherokee Nation, HEAVY with footprints of too many evilly designed Europeans of the last 300 years, added to the cost of the great loss of true priesthood interest and the true "Blessing Ways" among our modern Cherokee population. Loss of our Cherokee sacred records with truths engraved in gold, silver, clay, brass and stone were hid away by Cherokee leaders as Europeans Christians moved onto Cherokee lands and began to burn their sacred information just as the Spanish did with the books and records of the Natives of South American. When this happened, Cherokee ended up hiding their truths from themselves also, eventually and unfortunately. Revenge, mixing in white intermarriage and combining their spiritual paths with white religions compounded the problem.' Circumstance on both sides caused the loss of the Creator's full truths.
"Black" name-calling has stuck and too many times in even today's new "Native American Spiritual Popularity" there are those Native Americans, Mixed Bloods and Whites without true priesthood authority mixing both "The Pure White Blessing Way" and the dark side of "the black ways" all together. They are, as before, self-claiming to be rightful true healers, doctors and shaman for self power or compensation... when in truth they are practicing for self gain. One honest good full blood Cherokee Holy Man of the 1700 era, has been recorded in explaining that "a division in Cherokee truths has been in effect since the beginning of time." Needless to say, it has been the same with truth in all cultures.
For any people to stay true to "goodness" these days, in any walk of life, and in all nations of the world who once had the Heavenly Priesthood Fullness of the Creator's truths at one time,
takes 'crystal clear' minds maintaining 'crystal clear' thinking in order
to work for honor's cause" and for them to stay selfless....
It appears difficult for some Native Americans to steer clear from witchcraft, sorcery, superstitions, fortune telling and priest-craft - (the opposite of true priesthood rights.) Many also believe in human reincarnation; either evolving into other earthly creatures as totems or taking on a different identity of creation after this life. Beliefs of this kind are contrary to truth as given in Heavenly Father's Plan Of Salvation or The White Blessing Way, and are opposite from what His Son teaches about mankind's eternal life.
These beliefs have come IN PLACE OF believing each individual is in TRUTH an eternal singular personality and entity..."a child of God." The Creator taught this in his Original Instructions, no matter the culture. He has said that in our accepting that we can become ONE "with and as" our Heavenly Father through purification by HIS SON'S word and sacrifice, we can fulfill our full individual measure and purpose of birth on earth.
We have seen even in this day, that error from truth leads to becoming self imposed "sky-walkers, healers, chiefs, shaman or medicine persons" even to assuming of becoming self made "gods." It appears that only a select precious few individuals still have enough truth or at least even a desire for our correct long ago Kit'Yowa Priesthood Ways. We honor those who do. A great change is needed in order to "rid" ourselves from today's Native Cherokee Nation's "dark plagues." Nevertheless, there is great hope of it happening for all children of the blood of Abraham. The Creator reveals that it will happen!!
As members of Christ's church today, we are grateful for the restoration of full priesthood keys and authority that we now have available from 'The Heavenly Powers Above.'

We don't have all the answers FOR SURE of what happened between Christ's last visit to the Kit'Yowa after His crucifixion and the European take over of their Promised Land during the last three hundred years. There are stories that reveal that they refused to stand up for Him against some tribes they feared, which fear and guilt most likely started the great spiritual
darkness that took over in too many of their lives. We do know of the massive amount of hardships that contributed to the uncontrollable downfall that took place during "White" interference in the Cherokee world. That resulted in massive, unending, grief and trauma that is still being battled with.
Many highly Cherokee blooded individuals of today, are the first to admit that with European interference came National Cherokee internal strife,
resulting in greed based self destruction of spiritual, family, marriage, religious, emotional, governmental, and individual potential depredation. However, we admire those today working so hard to reverse those problems! We also
know of modern prophecies that have come through the revealed Gospel as
we have it today. It strengths our faith, and builds our pride and self
confidence in the promised "beauty and success" waiting to come to our beloved ancient One Fire descendant's future -- we know our people can only continue to go forward in RISING UP AGAIN in The Great Spirit's Priesthood worthiness and stature, in joy, self respect and honor.
