   "SE'GE!   -  LISTEN!"
When intermarriage with non-Kit'Yowa blood began with those of "THE ONE FIRE KEEPER" blood, it greatly stirred up a mixture of outside world cultures, beliefs, and religions, as well as white, black and yellow personal spirituality in once strong families of our ancient truths.  That brought new precepts for thought to be born within the ancient spiritual security of the homes of the Ani'Yun Wiya, The Principal People.  It also brought an never ending "going in and out" of cultures that had not been experience before by The People Of One Fire." This, as well as other things, prove today why there is much conflicting information on our Cherokee Spirit Ways as well as our history and culture.  Still, we have found that within our existing Peacekeeper culture there is the overwhelming feeling of the qualities of "hope and pride," which were basically established with our ancestors long ago by the friendship of the Creator, and peace could stabilized in the wave of an Eagle Feather.

There are people who trace Cherokee (Tsa'lagi) family genes every where in the Americas and in many countries.  They basically live their lives in a state of spiritual awareness and with a generosity and need for care taking.  Yet, like all other cultures of the world we have our share of fearful people with inner confusion.  It still appears often that many heavy blooded individuals live in and out of white society, loving and hating it at the same time. Generations of stormy skies brought thunderous relationships with such heavy rains of lies that they have never seemed to clear upGenerally we have found however, our people uniquely carry inborn honorable attributes in common - which are jelled together with varying levels of truth and peacekeeping.  Rightful pride is slowly returning individually with:
     1. - a secure awareness of some kind of personal pre-birth spiritual import and                                         purpose.
2. - a free spiritual interest in connecting relationship with all creations of                                                   heaven and earth.
3. - a unique sixth sense into the insight of another's heart, spirit and value.
4. - a strong right brain conduit to likes, dislikes, abilities, talents and potentials.
5. - a deep perception of spiritually governed powers concerning humor, balance, and                          relationships.
6. - a basic urge for peace, friendship, oneness, continuity, protection, trust and inner
             sanction.
7. - a generous care-taking responsibility to those with whom connected.
8. - a fearless need to honestly stand up for what is good, right, sacred                                                       and true.
9. - and beneath a private austerity - a trust of proven friendship is held as a most                                    honored gift.

We've learned about these Christ-like traits through interaction with one another.  It shows us that this unique combination is usually found together in Kit'Yowa genes and that they most probably exist at some level within all true-hearted Peacekeeper individuals world wide.   So important is the "Law Of Friendship and Forgiveness" that sacred ceremonies concerning these qualities have always been a major part of Kit'Yowa-Cherokee society.
We honor all our different ancestors, and as we gather together as mixed blood Latter-day Saints making up a Tsalagi Circle, we are with each other "o'gina'li'i,"- (meaning we two are like one, and friends to one another.)  Yet, we are more than that.  We open our hearts to all, - for as we gain knowledge of one another we agree that the most promising reason for our tie is found in our relationship of the blood connection with Abraham of the Old Testament.  He is also our father Equa'haye, of ancient Kit'Yowa tradition, who was promised by God to forever have believing descendants of true "peacekeeping character."
Jehovah, known to our ancients as Yohowah or Yowa, claimed Equa'haye's seed as His "FRIENDS."  That "believing blood line" gives us absolute family inter- relationship with our brother, Jesus Christ, the Redeeming Creator and a strong hold to His Sacred Wisdom Truth -- regardless of "to whom or when" they were given.  One unique Tsalagi name for Him has the meaning, "He Who Unites Perpetual Friendships."  In other scripture, He has been known to ask the burning question often to individuals through time, .....

"Are you my friend?"
The answer has not always been,
"He'tsi'tu  a'lo - It is so!"
B E C A U S E.....in the Kit'Yowa-Cherokee world,
"F R I E N D S H I P   I S   I M P O R T A N T
I N  T H E   L I V E S   O F   T H E   P E O P L E !"
Se'ge! - Listen!
Kit'Yowa legend considers "Thunder" as the voice of God,
and relates to it as a "FRIEND."
    In both Latter-day Saint (Mormon) culture and Kit'Yowa cultures of the long ago time, when "thunder" storms into a person's life in every way it possibly can, it is looked upon as an opportunity to find out more truth, and also to find the way it will help to bring out one's potential and vision for life.  All opposites have their value if we will learn to accept them as purposeful and grow through spiraling upward.  Understanding the time, place and purpose for choice to come into your life... guides your path to new things, new abilities and leads to discovery into life's need and in appreciating it's true gift, in the circling of life's friendships.   Our prophet Joseph Smith taught;
"Friendship is one of the grand fundamental principals of Mormonsim."

Here-in,  is where balance and right relationship become "One."
